it would be nice if there was a way to change your username on mastodon
i want to unlock my account but i basically dont feel safe doing so because it carries a username that shitty people from my past can and have used to track me down and torment me

good cis people: they exist, it's just a shame they're so few and far between

i think one of the most hilarious interactions ive had with a cis boy was me jokingly claiming that "all catgirls are gay and a girl, regardless of their genitals" and him becoming Genuinely Upset with me over it
