RIP to my Pixel Fold: Dead after four days

The closed display halves almost touch, and that can smash debris into the screen.

@weston good point. We have to make the trails the next wave of users can pave for the masses.
@weston alright. I find having an app simplifies the whole Fediverse thing quite a lot. I like it here, but I still don't feel federated stuff is especially user friendly yet.
@weston are there any worthwhile iOS apps for Lemmy?

No one lived on the island. It hadn't changed much since the breaking. Tiny huts we're strewn across the surface, barely distinguishable from the debris.

No one walked the island. Food was no longer anywhere to be seen. There used to be fish. You used to be able to call it fish. Only sludge now. Plastic, sludge and.. not fish.

No one looked at the horizon. Thunderclouds gathered, darkening the already dim light.

No one yawned, rubbed his eyes. It was Tuesday.

@arstechnica you should probably also touch on Reddits bizarre blackmail/threat allegations and the fact that Christian has recorded all calls and made the relevant parts available both in audio form and transcribed on his github. This is no longer just a bad decision on Reddit's part, it's malevolence.

Honestly kinda gutted that @christianselig is being forced to shut down Apollo. It's been my top used app every day for years. I'm gonna keep opening it only to have it empty, and it's gonna hurt. It was an awesome app, and you did an absolutely amazing job developing it. You should be proud as hell ♥️
@christianselig huge thanks for the time we got with Apollo. Any chance you'd like to have a crack at making a Lemmy client?
Apollo will close down on June 30th. Reddit’s recent decisions and actions have unfortunately made it impossible for Apollo to continue. Thank you so, so much for all the support over the years. ❤️ https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/144f6xm/apollo_will_close_down_on_june_30th_reddits/

Hey all, It's been an amazing run thanks to all of you. Eight years ago, I posted in the Apple subreddit [about a Reddit app I was looking for...
