Happy new 2023 and whatever might happen.
One thing I know for sure, I know who my friends are and I know there is so much goodness in a lot of people and being on the receiving end of the goodness has made me feel happy and special.
❤️
Approximately four hours ago I chopped the lavender in our front garden which I should have done months ago. I have managed to pull a calf muscle and it's still bloody painful! (Side effect of the steroids probably)
Shaun has put our tea in the oven ready for daughter when she gets home from Guides.
Except... I have had a chicken curry bought for me by mistake - fortunately I have spare curry in the freezer. Been vegetarian since 1983 😃
I was proud of my excellent organisational skills, being ready for my phone call with my chemo nurse this afternoon. Though of course, the phone didn't ring at the appointment time which was puzzling.
Husband points out the call is actually tomorrow. Typical me!
Thursday. It's Thursday. I'm now in the chemo/radiotherapy routine, quick hospital zapping sessions and home again. It isn't hurting, and I have lovely friends driving me to hospital for the appointments.
I miss my old life. I miss volunteering. I love that daughter is continuing in my absence, and I know she will continue it.
I'm also too tired to actually do my old life, but y'know!
Today's productive thing, suggested to daughter she do some fundraising for the Royal Marsden as they're so brilliant with everything at the mo. She seems keen. There could be a sponsored step count coming in the future....
Although I bet you anything it ups her sweets intake. 🙄
Today school sent us the upcoming dates to prepare daughter for her GCSE choices next term.
Which feels so weird. She's growing up so quickly and already knows some subjects she's dropping. I can't remember if I knew when I did mine or whether it was making the most of the choice I had.
It's all moving so quickly.
Vegemite not yet superglued, Elton John Marmite not yet visible. Hmph.
It has been hidden! He's refusing to tell me where. I'm going to superglue his Vegemite so the lid won't come off.
Concerns here as my Elton John Marmite has gone missing.
Where the devil is it?!
P.s. it's okay, I have other jars, I just want this one.
