Amateur Mirage Man

Here is the item card for Timber's Collar; and the stats for Timber's Ghost, which it summons.

This version is less powerful than the one the party would face if they chose to fight Timber's Ghost initially. The tougher version has more HP, does more damage, and has the standard Ghost's Horrifying Visage and Possession abilities.

@Darksabre

The flashes of thunder and lightning as I approached your plot was a little cliche, but effective. I knew what I was getting myself into.

I did my best to make a thorough survey, but I get the impression there is a lot going on under the surface here. Either way, I found a piece of charred bone, an arcade token, half a marble, and a tin full of animal teeth.

@Vimes I'll start with you.

The structures here are pre-existing, so really there is no entirely above-board reason for me to show up and start poking around. But I am still going to.

I may have bitten off more than I can chew with this one, though. It isn't any kind of archaeological discovery I have made, and I am not exactly sure who one calls in this situation. In the crawlspace under your house I found the lair of a tiny dragon.

@wildwalkerwoman

For the vast majority of your land, there wasn't much of note - just some fragments of statuary and a cheap locket. But right at the corner of your property there was an anomaly on the ground penetrating radar survey, which was excavated.

It seems there is a site of some archaeological significance there: the tomb of an important pigeon.

@ShanShen So I had a little investigate (by which I mean sleeping) and I have some good news and some bad news about your land

The bad news is that you aren't sitting on some amazing lost treasure or sunken temple; but the good news is I found an odd coin, a few pages from an old book, a large shard of a coffee cup, and a key to the wrong door.

The Slime Butler

In-world: a couple of these weird constructs are the only companions of a massively depressed Beholder.

It is roughly the size and shape of an adult human, and indeed contains a full skeleton of what look like mostly human bones. Bound to this skeleton, and held in fairly rigid form somehow, is an as of yet unidentified electrostatic ooze. It looks like a lava lamp full of bones that can walk, essentially.

"Suicide Bridges" exist in almost every country, but the Overtoun Bridge near Dumbarton in Scotland is an odd twist on the theme. It has become infamous not for human suicides, but for the number of dogs who have thrown themselves off it.
