I had SUCH a long day yesterday but it culminated with seeing Cold Cave at The Chapel for the 3rd time, which was so great and fun. This is the only pic I took and it is accidentally fantastic (and not filtered or edited).
My old ass is beat to hell today 😆
The world is a brutal place, both in the past & present, but the awareness of 'now' is sometimes so hard. This comment about the recent USFWS "de-listings" due to extinction just gave me such an indescribable feeling of anger+sorrow. I feel like it will be there for rest of my life & I hate it. Colonization has stolen so much from the world. Obviously, most importantly, it has stolen land & self-determination from Indigenous people. It has also robbed ecosystems & the planet of biodiversity & of species who were here so recently that we can share their songs that will never be heard again.
Wow! These are from the same pack of seeds - all of the ones on the plant the red one came from look just like it, and the yellow speckled one is from another plant in the planter.
Orchid season is kicking off at Casa de Cerda!

Well this is disappointing. Having to drive & park at the ferry terminal is so annoying. I didn't even know that this line existed & between that & them not being able to match the ferry schedule, I can't imagine why this line had low ridership 🙃 Had I known they were doing this line at all, much less as a pilot, I would have taken it every time!
GOD. There are several environmental consulting firms that are constantly showing up in my job searches with jobs I'm qualified for.
I saved some to apply to and of course forgot to, but today I decided to go through my saved jobs and apply to them and looked at these and was like "well looks like they're still looking, they're still actively posting months later" Then I saw this:
