I'm a sociologist at the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST). https://patrickpraeg.com
CREST is hiring! Assistant or associate professor, any area of sociology, hmu if you want all the details. https://crest.science/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/CREST_Assistant_Position_Sociology.pdf
Würde man tatsächlich gern wissen wenn man den Bart sieht

Elated that this article is finally out! It was great fun to work on and to present this at EUI, IAB, and UCL and I hope we were able to do justice to all the comments we received there as well as from the four reviewers at SSM.

Read the article here: https://doi.org/10.1016/j.socscimed.2023.115749

If you like this one as much as me, you will certainly love this follow-up paper: https://doi.org/10.31235/osf.io/2py57

This modern classic (joint work with Cecilia Potente and @christiaanmonden) has finally found a home at Journal of Health and Social Behavior:

https://doi.org/10.1177/00221465221143089

There's also already a follow-up paper (this time with Joan Madia) on @SocArXivBot: https://doi.org/10.31235/osf.io/9n8q5

I want to thank the academy, specifically the seminar and conference audiences who listened to our talks and the reviewers who found (and are finding) kind words about our work!

I need these restrictions too
Quite pleased with the line up for the CREST Sociology seminar -- it's all on-line, feel free to join us!
This one is the result of years of work by various people; a paper that reads like a Russian novel: https://doi.org/10.31235/osf.io/j7r86
There's also a follow-up paper to the previous paper, with a different outcome variable and more waves of data: https://doi.org/10.31235/osf.io/2py57
There's also an updated version of this paper, not much news but you can watch us acrobatically bend over backwards to accommodate reviewer requests: https://doi.org/10.31235/osf.io/8459x
There's now also a follow-up paper with new data, more educational reforms, and more subgroup analyses, enjoy: https://doi.org/10.31235/osf.io/9n8q5
