Yesterday in #Montreal a historic accord was signed at the #COP15 with the goal of preserving Earth’s #biodiversity. Whether or not this will make a difference is debatable. But here are two excellent #PopularScience books I read recently that helped me understand the issue:

- An Immense World, by Ed Yong: a beautiful tour through some of earth’s most fascinating animals through the lens of their senses

- The Sixth Extinction, by Elizabeth Kolbert: a sobering reminder of the challenge ahead
