It feels like Apple panicked about the AI hype and boarded the hype train too quickly. It's so unlike Apple to release stuff like this. Having a dumb bot try to reason about private messages is bound to go wrong.

Also, what problem does this summary nonsense really solve? Do people no longer have time to read messages from their spouses and need the TL;DR?
