Drobo Sold on eBay for $660 If you’ve been following along, you might remember that I finally pulled the plug on our Drobo network attached storage (NAS). I replaced it with a second Synology because I worried about depending on such old technology. Drobo filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, and they haven’t had anything […]
I paid $100 for Affinity 2, a few weeks back, so I've been working on trying to get good at the thing. For today's test, I am cleaning up a photo that I took in Venice, this past spring.
@HollyGoDarkly Never understood why people don’t get that adding alt text to images increases audience. WOW! Am jumping up with joy!
Thanks to the keen eye of a follower in the other place, I captured a Type Ia supernova event and didn't even know it!
I've been sitting on my #astrophotography images for over a year and there it was, right under my nose.
Captured two images of NGC 1566 in Feb 2021, and Dec 2021 ... and #Supernova 2021aefx appeared between them!
Amazing that I can get this kind of data from the heart of the city of Sydney (light pollution) from a galaxy 69 million light years away. Can't believe I never noticed this either!
Here's a little bit of reading about this supernova: https://iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3847/2041-8213/ac7cef
