@seiz @paul Take a number !! I am so ticked off with their arrogance and control over hardware that I bought and paid for that I am done with Apple. I will not buy another product from them. When the Macs and devices die I will switch to Android and Linux.
@anco @paul No. Doesn’t work with the developer profile either. They only stop the ios 26 messages.
There’s still a chance to win one of ten Punkt privacy smartphones that run the Apostrophy operating system and now come with Threema pre-installed: https://threema.ch/bp/apostrophy
Partnership with Apostrophy: Win a Privacy Phone

Like Threema, Apostrophy is a Swiss company that puts privacy first, doesn’t collect user data, and opposes to Big Tech’s ad-driven business model. Now, the two companies team up to facilitate secure and privacy-compliant mobile communication.

@mttvll @woollyapp

I like the clean simplicity of Woolly over Ivory, and wonder if you might consider the family sharing situation. I use two Apple IDs, one for home and one for travel only use. I would have to buy Woolly twice for the two accounts because there is no family share as far as I know. Also, I cannot share the purchase with my lady and would have to then buy it four times over a year. An Ivory subscription provides family share for $20 a year. I use Ivory as it is cost effective but would prefer to use Woolly. If you are reconsidering pricing strategies, you might consider this aspect. Cheers

@nicdex @ars @arstechnica Well, that would not be right ! At lot of folks get their news via RSS, even Mastodon users. I prefer to get all my tech news in RSS because it covers news services that don’t seem to care about Mastodon. Why would anyone want to have to hop back and forth between apps ? Might work for you, but would tick off a whole bunch of other folks.
