“While the three-hour block is free, prices at other times are adjusted so the typical annual bill stays about the same. Households that run appliances during those free hours, however, could save money.”

The bill remains the same.

Time of use tariffs are designed to gouge money by having a higher rate at *checks notes* the time when most families are either getting ready for the day or cooking the evening meal.

Apparently it hasn’t been enough to shift high use to the time of day when *checks notes* noone is home.

Not sure why not… 🤔
