This article is often quoted when talking about the importance of spending on User Experience (UX).
It says that Jeff Bezos spent 100X more on UX than on Advertising when getting Amazon off the ground.
What have you spent since then, Jeff? Amazon's usability seems somewhere between 1999 Yahoo and "Under Construction" Geocities pages.

We are now into 20th hour of an email outage with @hover . Every additional hour I am sure brings more attempts to reconnect and deliver email which makes it harder to recover. Feeling for those sysadmins, but also getting pretty frustrated with the lack of progress and updates.
