@dingemansemark @egonw It deserves to become a feature article on a reputable news outlet given all the bad news about Wikipedia lately. By the way you're looking at the surface.

Banning kids under 16 from social media has ZERO to do with "safety."

It's a coordinated global Trojan horse.

Clue #1: Identical rollout across many nations β€” same scripted talking points.

Clue #2: Every law screams one solution in EVERY country: 'mandatory age-verification'.

They're forcing Digital IDs on everyone β€” without asking.

The global elites are doing that likely because they're implicated in the Epstein Files in some ways and they want to clutch their pearls.

@lineplus @pancake In any cases there is a similar article on Justapedia, a Wikipedia fork which had imported English Wikipedia article contents back in 2022. Even though the MAGA types are the most vocal there because there's still too few editors there yet, some inclusionists like Geo Swan had gone there and updated some of their contents.

@lineplus @pancake I just went through edit histories of the page they've mentioned and I found that they're blocked due to the prohibition on "shared accounts" on Wikipedia. Unlike those who are blocked for "NOTHERE" or vandalism, they are explicitly permitted to edit Wikipedia again under new accounts or identities.
@pancake You're certainly looking at the tip of the iceberg.

Google has a lot of work to do if it ever wants to deshittify itself, such as toning down the harsh inactive account deletion policies and fix the broken three-strikes copyright violation actioning mechanism which is exploited by many bad actors to take down valuable contents through frivolous complaints.

@synnfynn Even better, they can and should use Needemand's BorderAge solution which check a user's hand movements to determine their age.
@double_virgule @jjanhone @Kristian_Kiehling @neilk @skua @troed Ron Merkle had posted a tell-all of what happened, on the Wikipediasucks.co forum.

My ban from Wikipediocracy - Wikipedia Sucks!

@tante @glitzersachen Speaking of the latter, former NASA scientist @drphiltill would beg to differ.
