Just got permission from Fountain Pen Network-Philippines founder, the writer Jose Dalisay, to share photos of his beautiful custom Parker Duofold. It's a solid bronze Parker Duofold Senior replica made by artisan Chris Thompson. It stayed in storage for a few years, until Dalisay decided to send it to master engraver Jay del Fierro. This recently arrived after a month at Del Fierro's workshop. He retained a rectangular cartouche on which the pen's brand and logo would have been imprinted.

Danish variety store Flying Tiger just opened in the Philippines, in Glorietta 5, Makati. It's the equivalent of a "dollar store" so they have a lot of novelty items that might make good gifts this Christmas. My friend Carlo found a calligraphy set with a fountain pen plus 3 separate nib units for only PHP300! That's just over USD5 for the set. I must pay a visit one day soon.
This is the F-Inks F2 pocket pen, a fully engraved and anodized titanium fountain pen. It is made in the Philippines. Previous F2 models were smooth and anodized - this prototype is a beautiful departure from the previous models. There is currently a contest open to Fountain Pen Network-Philippines members for them to submit suggested patterns for engraving. This pen will be available to the general public in the next few months.
Here's an Omas Ogiva Extra Blue Saffron Celluloid 222 Limited Edition, owned by a member of Fountain Pen Network-Philippines. It uses the original Omas 18KT-750 nib. It's currently our group's banner photo for October, given the pumpkin-y spicy color.
One of my vintage pens is a Sheaffer Balance Vac-Fil in Ebonized Pearl. I received it with the blind cap detached from the vac-fil rod, so I just bought some shellac and shellacked it back. Since this filling system is so fiddly and hard to clean, I've only used one color of ink in it - various browns, mostly J. Herbin Lie de The, Robert Oster Melon Tea and Diamine Saddle Brown. It writes an extra fine line.
