Just got permission from Fountain Pen Network-Philippines founder, the writer Jose Dalisay, to share photos of his beautiful custom Parker Duofold. It's a solid bronze Parker Duofold Senior replica made by artisan Chris Thompson. It stayed in storage for a few years, until Dalisay decided to send it to master engraver Jay del Fierro. This recently arrived after a month at Del Fierro's workshop. He retained a rectangular cartouche on which the pen's brand and logo would have been imprinted.

Pilot Pens Japan announces a price increase starting January 1, 2024. This was in response to rising prices of raw materials including precious metals.

Today I learned from the Goulet Pens FB group that one can fit Pilot Parallel nibs in the Jinhao 9019 Dadao fountain pens! I don't have that pen yet, but knowing this makes it a possible addition to my collection.

Attended the early Christmas party of our local pen group (the FPNP members south of Metro Manila) last Saturday and I came home with two 3ml ink samples, Taccia Momo Pink and Kobe #19 Minatogawa Lime. Momo Pink is a very bright bubblegum pink, while Minatogawa Lime is a green like the rind of a lime, with a yellow undertone. Here are reviews by Mountain of Ink:

I'm able to follow accounts on Kbin, plus the magazine /bts, but no posts show up here on notifications on Firefish. While I can fetch threads from Kbin into Firefish, I can't reply from Firefish (invalid parameters). It may have something to do with Kbin servers updating in the next few days/weeks. And Firefish isn't exactly performing smoothly for me right now. I hope federation improves in the coming days.

Haven't used my Kbin account in a while. The last time was when I was testing federation between Calckey and Kbin. It worked for a while, and then Calckey became Firefish. I think I need to refollow some magazines I used to follow back then, to test federation again.
