I found libraries like urwid, noncurses, pycdk, npyscreen, and some more. All of them are great work for sure, but none of them really attracted me, for the one or the other reason.
Do you know other ones?
It should support things like buttons, labels, lists, dialogs, scrollables, ... without much hassle and should support the usual layout mechanisms like vertical/horizontal boxes and grids. All that should be somewhat configurable/versatile.

I'm searching for a library (ideally cross platform, at least Linux) for creating UIs, like GTK or Qt, but for terminals.
Should be usable from Python with moderate effort (so, C could be okay, I guess, although I never tried that?!). It should be mature enough, and not abandoned. It should be part of Debian (upcoming 12 at least) and/or a pure Python package that is in PyPi.
