Once again, German police took down a darknet forum distributing CSAM. As in previous cases, they did not delete the material hosted on clearnet services, and given the criminals have backups, distribution pretty much continues unimpeded: https://www.tagesschau.de/investigativ/ndr-wdr/paedokriminelle-darknet-101.html (Apparently they want to preserve evidence, but there's no reason providers couldn't remove it for everyone but police)

#chatcontrol won't fix this. Police training & communication with providers would.

you might have heard that being »verified« – a former quality attribute on twitter - has been turned into a business model, it has lost all meaning. consequently, being verified now has nothing to do with actually being that person. you can for example chose to be elon musk, which apparently a large number of people have now chosen to be - with hilarious results :D #welldeserved
