Another great venture into experimentation with the Pokemon formula. Not quite as engaging as Legends Arceus, but it was great fun to actually dabble in real-time battling with the Pokemon.
As is typical, the plot staggers somewhat, even factoring in the fact that it's a children's game. The sequential doling out of characters to serve as gym leaders gets formulaic and culminates in a situation with little emotional stakes, given that everyone's been on the same page the entire time.
Some missed opportunities with the final setpieces. Would've been great to mix a battle zone with a wild zone at, say, the abandoned laboratory and then the final boss wasn't mechanically very interesting.
But I will definitely pick up the next Legends game and hope Gen 10 takes some cues from both of these.
We walk proudly
And we walk strong
All together, we will go as one
The ground is empty
And cold as hell
But we all go together when we go
