@Popehat I continue to appreciate all of the work you put into these things, Ken. Thank you! I feel like, even after you said similar things in the podcast, I understand these things a little better.
If this result is shocking, or you think Judge Chutkan is doing something outrageous, or it shows bias for Trump, or that it’s obviously wrong, you are not being a critical consumer of legal news, and should reconsider your diet of grifters.

THIS IS NOT A DRILL

WE ARE AT CONDITION MOMMY MILKY

Some people have been sending me, or commenting with, alternate takes on what happened with the Hunter Biden plea deal.

I’m not certain I am right on my take, which I view as only the most likely scenario. That’s in part because I believe my experience leads me to wield Occam’s Razor differently — I don’t think some of the scenarios proposed can be called the “simplest,” based on my experience with the system. But I could be wrong.

@Popehat only because you're not there.
@MattBinder so the functional difference between deactivation and deleting is just that it remains on their servers/could be reactivated?
@Popehat, please move to/also join Threads. It/we need(s) you.
Back when Windows 95 came out you could drag "The Internet" icon to the bin and it'd pop up a message that said "Are you sure you want to delete The Internet?" and we thought it was hilarious but in hindsight maybe one of us should have said "yes".
“Elon must be destroying the site on purpose he can’t be that stupid!” Last week a billionaire imploded, literally, because he thought he could outsmart the laws of physics. Never being told “no” makes a person stupid.
