@zoesqwilliams Looking at the comments here... Just because you generally agree with the people in it doesn't mean you can't recognise an echo chamber when you see one. And you need ear defenders in quite a bit of Mastodon...

@DavidDmshepherd Not going to make me popular saying this on Mastodon, but it's the (necessary) lockdowns, not the Covid itself. Not sure that everyone on places like this quite sees it that way though. I got my head bitten off for saying people are going to have to go back to normal eventually.
@zoesqwilliams Actually, I slightly agreed with the article. In that I wouldn't say what JK Rowling or Rosie Duffield say, but it's getting ridiculous now the abuse that is being hurled their way.
@rbreich I'm not busting out the popcorn, I'm facepalming. Or rather, seeing as I'm on the other side of the Atlantic, just trying to ignore them. It all makes me nostalgic for when social media was all about me posting pictures of cooking bizarre recipes with lamb's testicles and random stuff like that, rather than incessant culture wars...

@Geri I looked at what "he" posted via the Polititweet website and it was full of a load of dodgy shortened URLs. I'm guessing they might link to stuff like keystroke loggers or other malware and perhaps he clicked on a link like that in the first place. Of course 2FA would have helped against that...
