Friendly, helpful entrepreneur & digital maker.

My interests span many subjects that connect in meaningful ways (at least to me!).

Some of my likes: harmony, melody, effective collaboration, knowing how things really work.

@slowenough, Claude Code is doing 100% of the coding, 95%+ of the architecture decisions.

CC does like to check in frequently, but mostly light check-ins, deciding which feature to do next or me doing a little bit of user review and giving feedback.

(A nice way to get out of its way was to ask it to set up a headless browser; now it can do a lot of the user review checks itself.)

Saying I'm "having it build it" is quite accurate; I'm a hands-off manager and coach, basically.

I'm having Claude Code build HangarWiki, a git-native dream wiki engine: live, editable on the web, your own replacement for github (Forgejo or Gitea), plays nicely with MarkPub + Obsidian+Git. Extremely early, basically spit and baling wire: https://github.com/peterkaminski/hangarwiki

I’ve been following mutual credit / Ripple-Classic-style systems for a long time. Jotted a short pointer to a high-signal mailing list after seeing a recent thread that discusses using Nostr as a sync layer (but not payment system). https://peterkaminski.wiki/architectural_and_social_aspects_of_mutual_credit_networks

Anthropic’s “Imagine with Claude” is a preview app builder: describe an app, it generates screens & fakes persistence as you click. It’s experimental, not for real apps, and only higher-tier Claude accounts can access it for now. Kinda cool.

Hey, export your ChatGPT convos once in a while. I hadn't done mine in too long and ended up with a 190Mb `conversations.json` file, oof!

I updated an existing Python JSON->MD export script to be able to handle the new reasoning and tool call messages ChatGPT uses: https://github.com/daugaard47/ChatGPT_Conversations_To_Markdown/pull/6

Support for New ChatGPT Message Formats (Informational PR) by peterkaminski · Pull Request #6 · daugaard47/ChatGPT_Conversations_To_Markdown

Thanks for this script! I offer this as an "informational" PR. All changes were made by Claude Code. I directed the work, but did NOT do a careful human review of code or output. The new ...

@anticdent (cc @marick @billseitz) Unfortunately I don't remember that convo (the one I do remember was raising all boats a little vs. raising a few boats a lot, which I still think of regularly).

To be fair, Socialtext _was_ meant to be social software (a place/ a network) as well as a useful personal tool / computer, so modeling person and people (groups) had utility.

But I agree, sometimes in design there is too much emphasis on helping users be someone rather than accomplish something.

Noodling UI designs for a potential personal project, a YouTube Music "Playlist Commander". Wouldn't play music, would be a power tool for managing playlists.

I keep fine-grained music playlists for different qualities in songs: "fast backing rhythm", "sounds happy, actually hurting", "3-4 time", etc.

I knew I had a lot of playlists, but TIL I have **~500** of them. No wonder it's hard to find the right ones!

Thinking about using AI to help. 🙂
