Sol is getting pretty peppery - second significant flare in as many days 🔆🔥
I'm thinking we're going to see an X class soon. And given that the region likely to produce it, AR3435, is Earth facing, could be geoaffective - especially if it lets loose with a nice accompanying CME.
On the "Sol is waking, front - I haven't done much solar event posting, but that is one of my major interests. So I guess it's about time I start!
A region on our star is starting to really come alive - unleashed an M4 flare yesterday, and I'm fairly certain this one, just below X-class, is from that same region.
Could be more auroras coming soon to a sky near you! 😁 ☀️

So I gave Bluesky a whirl. And while I like the UI, seems very similar to the other place, I am just having a really hard time finding "my people." Same with Threads. I think I am home here, and am sticking around.
One of the big shortfalls of both of those platforms is the complete absence of tags. How in the world is anyone supposed to find others of like mind, topics they are interested in, etc?
