8 years ago to this day, the first commercially available Ubuntu Touch phone was put on sale for the masses: a BQ E4.5 "Ubuntu edition" - I was one of the first users, waiting patiently for the "order now" button to show up. :) I still use it today!
Since Canonical's major initial efforts, many other phones were added to the list of supported devices and the OS has been continually improved, thanks to the good folks at UBports, Foundation and Community:
