Maybe you’re aware and it doesn’t fit your need, but in case not: there’s a snipping to ocr tool provided with PowerToys. Win+shift+T and select a zone, il ocr it and puts it in your clipboard. Good stuff. There’s also NormCap that does the same : dynobo.github.io/normcap/

Optional is my favorite example to give, at this point most people have internalized how to use its map function and how it works
Not sure if they are a large part of framework’s consumers, or just very vocal in that thread.
Tbf I don’t know much about the Hyprland history. The point raised by the OP on the forum links to tweets by both framework and Hyprland accounts saying framework became a “gold tier sponsor” of hyprland. It’s fair to assume that involves a donation.
Don’t cherrypick a single issue raised by the OP to pretend the whole discussion is about that, please

Framework supporting far-right racists?

Framework supporting far-right racists? - Lemmy.World

Title of the (concerning) thread on their community forum, not voluntary clickbait. Came across the thread thanks to a toot by @[email protected] [/u/[email protected]] (French speaking) The gist of the issue raised by OP is that framework sponsors and promotes projects lead by known toxic and racists people (DHH among them). I agree with the point made by the OP : > The “big tent” argument works fine if everyone plays by some basic civil rules of understanding. Stuff like code of conducts, moderation, anti-racism, surely those things we agree on? A big tent won’t work if you let in people that want to exterminate the others. I’m disappointed in framework’s answer so far

I live in Charleroi and agree with the sentiment :D it’s not the same vibe as Liege though, might be even worse…

Your point is valid, if not well presented ; doesn’t deserve the downvotes imho!

Making public transit free instead of making it better, and then use the fact that nobody uses it anyway to demantle it further, is a bad thing. I think Not Just Bikes touched on that in one of its videos.

But it’s not always the case that free = bad. If it’s already efficient and continues to improve, it can accelerate the growth of public transit. Luxembourg city is one example I know where it seems to be working, and a “good faith” effort.

I did play it a few weeks ago with some friends, worked flawlessly! (using steam, on fedora, with a Nvidia gpu)

No problem! And it doesn’t remove from your point about cars making us behave differently

Altis made a very informative video about the whole thing
