I haven't done anything to interesting at work in the last two months, but I did make 3 stools for the kitchen and one for the garage...
I'll probably use Mastodon mostly for interacting with people doing interesting work in fields that interest me. HOWEVER, I just finished a tool cabinet for my garage shop and I realized that woodworking is more than a way to pass the time for me. It is an important exercise in patience and humility, where I can see concrete examples of corners cut and poor technique. I also get to celebrate a new piece I am happy with every once in a while and touch the result of my own work, which is somebody quite gratifying when you spend most of the day in front of the computer.
