@waldoj It seems like a good reason for Senators Schumer and Durbin to bring the Supreme Court Ethics, Recusal and Transparency Act (S. 4188, HR 7647) to the floor.
It would make judicial recusal, travel, gift and amicus filing rules more exacting; require real adjudication of recusal motions; and require a Supreme Court ethics code.
Makes no diff what Trump thinks about it, he was going to complain about a "witch hunt" either way.
To that point, it makes the SC superfluous. Other than slow as January's molasses, it already looked like justice to the rest of us.
Jack Smith is a good choice, but the job is unnecessary and just adds to the delay.
MAGAt nation isn't going to see this as anything other than political one way or another. The rest of us think it looks like glacial justice already.
