When I was a kid, (long ago), I learned that people with Down's syndrome were routinely sterilized. The story was that they wouldn't be able to control themselves sexually and had a high chance of having children with severe genetic issues.
This was from the eugenics movement. People wanted to "improve" humans by stopping people unlike them from reproducing. Targets of this were people of Jewish, Native American, or African descent, and anyone with a lower than average "IQ." Think Nazis.

I have so little patience with popups on websites. I'll be enjoying a website, a popup jumps up to give me a discount or ask me to get on a mailing list or any thing at all and I click off the site. The disrespect of popups blocking me from doing what I was in the middle of doing overrides anything positive about the site.
