Following my Pre-Planning post...We’re 30-ish days from DragonCon, and this may be your first year going! Never to fret, Dragon is the most nerd-friendly place! Get ready to hang out with 80,000 of your socially distanced newest friends! Labor Day weekend in Atlanta is busy – and HOT. Several things are going on in town that weekend, and with these tricks, you’ll do just fine.

DragonCon 2025 – I need a hero!

30ish days until con, TIME TO PANIC!!! (Or like the Guide says in big friendly letters, DON'T PANIC). This, of course, means time to get serious, if you haven't already. As of this writing, attendance is being capped, and very limited day passes (especially Saturday) are going to be sold - day passes go live Aug 1. Remember, all passes must be purchased online.

To be fair, I've been dealing with Con-Covid and then the busy season at work, so it's been a lot since I got back from Atlanta. I even had to cancel the second trip (for runDisney), because of said covid. 😦

I feel like this is all we ever talk about…

Oh, what's that? We have how many days until DragonCon? 75!? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttt... Well, I guess that means we're talking about it again. I'm working on a couple of costumes for con this year, including one I've been wanting to do for ages. I'm finally working on a vault dweller - the show re-lit the fire in my heart for Fallout, so I'm going all in.

I did the thing!

I have been granted the rank of Master (unlike Anakin)! Reflecting on my academic journey I am filled with a mix of emotions: Pride, excitement of being finished, a touch of nostalgia, and being a bit at a loss. The last two years have consumed an enormous chunk of my life, and I find myself not knowing what to do with my free time.
