At this point, they have 17 titles available for rent and a small selection of free stuff, so it's not exactly a wide-ranging catalog, but it's nice to see our archives actually adapting with the times! https://player.nfsa.gov.au/

National Film and Sound Archive of Australia
I keep telling people that streaming services aren't archives - never were, never shall be. So it'll be interesting to see how an *actual* archive runs a streaming service! https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-07-12/national-film-and-sound-archive-launches-streaming-service/102593736
National Film and Sound Archive launches streaming service

Trusted and independent source of local, national and world news. In-depth analysis, business, sport, weather and more.

Also, I'm now thoroughly convinced that it's not possible to run a social media site without massive subsidies. Which may mean that the era of social media was entirely a result of the low interest rate, low inflation world of the past couple of decades.

People will still try to run these sites, but they will not make money, they will survive only due to either VC capital being constantly thrown at them, government funding, or perpetual crowdfunding.

I can feel myself being more detached from the internet with every passing moment. I somehow can't muster anger at the destruction of Twitter, Reddit, and likely Facebook shortly. They were but a small, stable island in the sea of chaos, and I remember a time when my favorite internet hangouts were lucky to live a year.
The point of doing this is to make it clear in every MP's mind that this is an issue that their electorate cares about. It may not change their mind, but it *might* make them think twice about actively fighting against raising the rate. #RaiseTheRate
If your MP/Senator is Labor, obviously this is most likely to have an impact, but even if you have a Coalition MP, I'd still recommend doing this - it can still have an impact if they get a *lot* of people in their electorate engaging on the issue. #RaiseTheRate
This is also a good script for calling Senators as well, which is likely to be just as useful in this fight. Senators also have offices, whose number is publicly available, so give that a shot too if you're up to it! #RaiseTheRate
Phone calls can be good because you don't have to worry about waiting to reply back - you already have your response, and the whole call will generally take less than a minute or two, as opposed to letters/emails which can take some time to both send and respond to. #RaiseTheRate
Because you're almost certainly dealing with a staff member, this isn't the time to debate the point - just clearly express your desires and then end the call. Quick, simple, easy, for a grand total of about two minutes of work. #RaiseTheRate
