You can finally filter Amtrak searches for trains that have bike space or allow pets.
Popular opinion: JFK Promenade is an amazing public space.
Always impressed by the @sanjoaquins bus transfer in Bakersfield.
Love to see the 38 red carpet being repaired in the TL

Finally, we took SF Bay Ferry from Oakland back to SF. There is no better way to come home after a couple of days away! We decided that we'd biked enough for one weekend and hopped on Muni's 1-Califorina for the last leg of our journey.

A very successful weekend adventure!

But when we got to the Amtrak station, we decided that it'd be fun to keep going, instead of returning home. We boarded an eastbound train to spend the night in Sacramento.

On Sunday, we slept in, grabbed a coffee and a bit of breakfast, then took SacRT light rail to Folsom. We then rode back to Sacramento along the beautiful American River Trail. It's about 30 miles and we did it at a relaxing pace with a stop to eat sandwiches, getting back to Sacramento just in time to catch a 6:55pm Capitol Corridor to Oakland.

On Saturday we took BART from San Francisco to Dublin, CA where we rode our bikes on the Iron Horse Trail and Contra Costa Canal Trail, with a last bit of riding on the road to end at Martinez Amtrak station.

Along the way we stopped for lunch in Danville and finished with a beer in Martinez. Highly recommended!

Bikes + transit go so well together. We explored Alameda, Contra Costa, and Sacramento counties this weekend.
