A philosophy webcomic about the inevitable anguish of living a brief life in an absurd world. Also Jokes

My family was on AOL AIM 20 years ago and it was great.... never rebounded to same level... 😓
@DirksAIStudyLog If you think of the current business as usual as having no chance of satisfying the many constraints that would lead to good outcomes, then it follows that the only thing that could flip the gameboard, such as AI, would present itself as a potential crisis greater than the ones present on the board.
@DirksAIStudyLog I feel like this is a satirical, prescient commentary on funding for critical research.
@Techronic9876 2024 will be off the chain. Do people still use that expression? It feels as dated as global warming.
@digiguru pretty cool but disturbing. The symmetry in the third one reminded me of Marvel's Hydra logo.

Using GPT for knowledge search = back to the days of using gopher. Even the slow print out from the LLM feels like 2400 baud modem. All text web might have been superior, less commercialism would have been a plus

@warbird I think I wrote this idea somewhere here recently... Let me check my replies

Edit similar idea but I think we might see it soon:

@WeavingWithAI There are many book reading apps and there are semantic tools to find the especially dramatic parts of a book (contour of ups and downs). I wonder what the experience would be like if they had AI generated art for a collection of the most popular books -- as in hi-tech illustrated books for kids (and adults) who don't like to read / have poor visualization capacities. You could even tailor to an individual's artistic preferences as the art would be small/low rez. Any thoughts?

@WeavingWithAI img no. 1: the red nose is too red considering the rest of her face ( out of distribution for normal skin to me ) . The sharp discontinuity of red in the first image at the bridge of her nose makes it stand out more.

No one else is saying this but this feels like a new Pepsi inflection moment. Now coming soon, Twitter Classic.
