this is fully a pet peeve of mine now. i mean people are allowed to abbreviate however they like but for fuck's sake, i've been using the ampersand version since i was 7. d&d is probably the reason i learned how to draw an ampersand. it's literally the logo for d&d now. let me use the ampersand version
