after 8 years at google in SRE, this was my last week with the company
i am immensely grateful to all the great people i worked with

Was explaining the whole self-hosted/small web movement to someone at work today, and they replied “Oh, so you’re like one of those preppers with a bunker, but digital.”
And I will not be taking any further questions at this time.
Senior++ folks: Explaining your thought process out loud as you work, to someone more junior, is a gift to both them and you. I've always found that teaching someone helps me refine my own skills as I go.
An interested learner is a huge opportunity to grow!
