Note Musk saying that some of the so-called "incriminating evidence" that he'd like to release about #Twitter "may have already been deleted." That's perfect. If it doesn't exist, he can just endlessly fuel the flames of conspiracy theorists with his special brand of toxic hype. In essence, "How do you know that there wasn't evidence of grand conspiracy?" The tactics of tyrants throughout history. Hitler -- Mussolini -- Musk.

If Musk gave Taibbi and Weiss access to users' private messages --that is, access to other people's DMs -- it's a flagrant violation of privacy promises, and should cost Musk and his investors a ton of money in damages.

Some of my comments that didn’t make the Bloomberg #chatGPT piece commended OpenAI about their efforts to prevent toxic and prejudicial responses, but also warned that commercialization was outpacing research on safety, control, and debiasing.

And then there was this spicy take that didn’t make the cut: https://twitter.com/daveyalba/status/1600892019878268928?s=61&t=wvmd8y812jg30tB5F1H1qg

“But—and this didn't make the cut, my piece was running long!—there's already a backlash from certain sectors of the tech community that disingenuously equate “ethical AI” with “AI censorship,” @mark_riedl told me. His thoughtful comments are worth sharing in full here.”

@radleybalko does more than any other journalist to debunk BS about crime and law enforcement. Here, he has the goods on the propagandists who deceitfully say a Vermont city is proof that police reforms aren't working: https://radleybalko.substack.com/p/is-burlington-vermont-suffering-a
Is Burlington, Vermont suffering a crime wave because "woke" officials cut police funding?

Probably not!

The company also limits leave time for parents who do not give birth. Our proposal is for 18 paid weeks of leave to any employee expecting a new child, whether it's through pregnancy, surrogacy, adoption or other placement.

3) Bereavement leave: @[email protected] wants to limit bereavement leave to a specific list of relatives. We believe any loved one should qualify. We don’t believe a company should determine whose deaths matter and whose do not.

Was the anti-abortion influence campaign an open secret at the Supreme Court?

There's new evidence at least one justice not only knew of the clandestine operation, but welcomed it.

Layoffs: We proposed that layoffs should be only a last resort.

@[email protected] proposed that they should be able to do layoffs whenever there's some type of economic need (even if other avenues haven't been pursued) and that they don't have to give us any notice.
