Alors que l'Union européenne s'apprête à voter une nouvelle directive numérique, des questions se posent sur ses réelles intentions et ses conséquences. Le RGPD, censé protéger nos données, pourrait être affaibli.

Setting up an OAuth1/xAuth authentication flow without a dedicated lib for an #api whose doc does not explain much about this was quite the challenge and... pretty painful, if I'm honest 😅

But with a mix of digging into the specs, looking at implementation of this API in other languages, and LLM help, I slowly made some progress.

But I'm merely halfway there: I now manage to get an oauth token from the API... but using it on other requests fails 😔

I need to try and get a reliably working IA-coding setup. All my attempts so far have been meh and I'm not an AI-enthusiast, but the fact that my setup is always somehow not working, that I'm missing a token, permissions, whatever... surely does not help.

I do my own private year recap every year, but never published anything on my blog, yet.

Still, I do enjoy reading all these blog posts! Thanks Pawel for collecting them 🫶

Yesterday I released the (maybe?) last version of my InMyPocket browser addon for #pocket. Pocket was shut down months ago but people are still using my addon on a daily basis despite the error messages everywhere 🫶

This release tries to bring awareness about #pocket shutdown, and also provides a built-in way to export items from the addon local storage.

In my Pocket firefox addon - Changelog

List of the changes brought to each version of the In My Pocket browser addon for Firefox. New features, updates, fixes, design upgrades... all listed here!

Not sure if anything happened to #deezer lately, but it's been reaaally broken for me for the past weeks. Like it does not start reading music, does not respond to next/previous actions, and requires me to full-reload the webapp.

Really annoying, it used to work great before this 😩

Well. Weeks/months after the total shutdown of #pocket, and migrating to other services, I notice that I don't consume my reading list anymore.

I've switched to #raindrop but it's not a read later tool. #instapaper could be, but apart from Kobo integration, it's not super usable tbh.

Part of this is me missing my own #inmypocket addon, but also imperfect alternatives. Not sure what I'll do next. Reboot the addon? Start yet another service? Contribute to open-source and self-host? 🤷‍♂️

Congrats to @ruby for 30 years of productivity and joy ❤️🎂
