50 watts radio == 5.5 kg
10 watts radio == 1.3 kg.
Iβm not a big fan of QRP, itβs just so much practical in many cases
Thatβs what happens when people use AI without understanding what theyβre doing.
βCompared with FT4, "FT2" is significantly less sensitive, needs twice the bandwidth, and has far more decoding failures caused by timing errors. The mode is hardly usable without full (or nearly full) automation. We have no plan to add a twice-speeded-up version of FT4 in the mainline program WSJT-X. -- 73, Joe, K1JTβ
I really like the sound and performance of the FlexRadio. But every time I visit their Groups io page, I see a constant stream of issues β ranging from hardware failures to βmy radio stopped working after a Windows update.β
Do I really need a new radio? Yes. Taking the FTdx5000 to the contest QTH is a real struggle.
Just worked KH7XS on 15m CW. Then checked his QRZ page:
"NEW PERMANENT QTH IS NOW THE STATE OF FLORIDA, NOT HAWAII."
