People keep fantasizing about #Twitter dying on its own, so that they can avoid withdrawal symptoms for their addictions until the last minute.
Twitter will not die until non-fascist users actually stop using it.
Pretending it's going to just fall off the internet in any meaningful way is just prolonging its life.
What do you think is going to happen with this server thing? It might go down for ~6hrs and we all high five while elon keeps pocketing cash from you still being there.
@Chris @caseynewton @drewharwell
No journalist should be using #Twitter anymore period. Those that must should basically be promoting #TwitterMigration non stop. And ad-blockers.
Honestly the implication that if twitter DID let him tweet again without moving the post that he would then be ok with it is pretty un-cool imo.
Just move on people, it's one stupid website ran by a fascist. The addiction to it is just lame at this point
Anyone still on #twitter should be hardcore promoting the use of adblockers when using that site! You can use adguard on mobile or ublock origin from firefox on android (or desktop). Do not give that site revenue!
#TwitterMigration

@donieosullivan @drewharwell Why do you even want to tweet there? I know twitter's addictive and has benefits, but was have to move on. The tone has to shift from wanting things to go back to how they were on twitter to "Run away and don't look back"

At this point the worst thing to happen would be Elon manages to shut up for a month (unlikely I know) and hires a semi normal ceo, all the journalists go back and people on both sides continue to use that product and fund its existence.

If you get your account suspended from #twitter and they do not accept your phone number to allow access to the account again (even if one wanted to access the account again), and they still send you emails like "you might be interested in these tweets!", and you cannot disable those emails because your account is suspended, is that compliant with #spam laws? #law #question
If #journalists moved en masse away from #Twitter, #Twitter would collapse.
@micahflee @drewharwell @MattBinder @w7voa @tony I don't understand why there's not any attempts to organize a permanent exodus from twitter by journalists? Why is the goal always "give us our account back and we're good"? Why do journalists keep crawling back to that site only to provide the good content it needs to survive, when it's ran by a person with horrible intentions? It needs to die yesterday, and it won't until people really leave
@acosta when will they be released?
@thedragstate Thanks, that was useful/needed. Is there a good/easy way to migrate over all people I follow, where possible?
