Peertube Chain of Trust and Follower Index

I love the Fediverse. I love Peertube. Our strength is we’re decentralized. Our weakness is we’re decentralized. How do we find like instances and things WITHOUT an algorithm?

Well I run tubefree.org. I know Makertube.net is a good instance. I follow that instance. However, I trust the admins there, why not follow who they follow? Thus we have a chain of trust.

How do I do this easily though? I came up with a script: https://git.btfree.org/BTFree/PTIndex

Works On My Machine - New Vodcast - Need volunteers

I’ve started a new podcast called “Works On My Machine” where I talk with a developer on a livestream, and it’s recorded, and I attempt to install their software LIVE.

This gives us a unique opportunity for multiple things:

Meet the developer of an application

Everyone learns about the application

Everyone gets to learn new tech along the way

A developer gets to see that there’s always a bigger idiot, so idiot proofing only takes you so far, but they get to learn about how their docs are read by someone else

HOPEFULLY we walk away with a bumpy tutorial as to how to install the developer’s software!

But what I REALLY need are folks that are willing to try this with me. I’d love if there’s anyone that has a Fediverse software, but honestly, as long as it can run on Linux, I can attempt to install it, demo it, talk about your application.
