Lemmy – lacking tolerance and acceptance? - Lemmy.World

I experience Lemmy as a reflection of many of the problems in the world; there seems to be little effort to understand and respect different viewpoints. Instead of being curious about opinions one disagrees with, the community often feels almost aggressive. People end up in their own trenches. What about trying to be more open and curious about our differences instead? Apparently we believe in freedom of speech—so long as the speech is something we agree with…

Wreckfest - nitro mod?

Wreckfest - nitro mod? - Lemmy.World

Love Flatout 2, but it is getting old. Wreckfest is a really good alternative, but sadly the devs won`t add nitro. Nitro makes for spectacular crashes, opportunity to catch up if you are lagging behind, and generally just makes car games more fun and less predictable! Does anyone know if there exists any nitro mod for Wreckfest?

Flatout2 - LAN - Lemmy.World

Anyone know how to get Flatout 2 Lan gaming to work? It used to work earlier (1;5years ago), but now I don’t find any of my Windows-friends when searching for LAN games. (Disabled firewall, tried different wine versions. Tried Steam version, tried Gog version. Game works fine, but can’t find anyone else on LAN and nobody finds my if I try to host).

Polestar 2 _2023 or 2024 - Lemmy.World

Need help here, buying a used Polestar 2. 1. Polestar2 awd lr pilot+, 60000km 2023 (old type) … 28545 euro (it did have a problem with fog on the windows especially the rear windows… common problem?) 2. Polestar2 performance, 20000km 2024 (facelift) … 38929 euro. A bit skeptic to tire use on the performance’s 20’, and perhaps a much harder ride? Polestars got the impression that polestar 2 are durable for several 100.000 km?

UPS recommendation? - Lemmy.World

I think perhaps the Eaton5p 650i gen2 or the Eaton 5sc 750i. Just need enough power to safely shutdown my qnap nas 453pro, and regulate clean power for my Dreammachine. Any thoughts?

TrueCrypt, what really happened? - Lemmy.World

What really happened to TrueCrypt back in 2014? Did anyone ever find out? It was a widely used encryption tool, that was suddenly dropped with the message " not safe, use something else".

Loudly: Tutamail too small, get a Google or Microsoft e-mail - Lemmy.World

Tried to register a Loudly account using my email from Tutamail, but only got “invalid email”. Sent an email asking what was wrong, this was their reply (guess they only accept US emails. And here I thought Loudly was European) : > Hi, > Thanks for your email and interest in Loudly! >   > We don’t block any specific email domains, including Tutamail. However, our system uses a service to analyze email addresses and determine whether they are valid and recognized. Occasionally, less common email providers may be flagged as invalid during this process. > > We recommend using a well-known email provider (such as Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo) to ensure smooth registration. > > If you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us. >   > Best regards, > > Your Loudly Team > > Music Maker JAM [https://www.musicmakerjam.app/] > Loudly [http://loudly.com/] Kudos for quick response, thumbs down for the fix it yourself “solution”. #tutamail
