It''s hard to find interesting people who don't live their lives for US politics, Twitter, or whatever 24/7/365. The signal to noise ratio here is really overwhelming; and, if I'm honest, it's super triggering.
All this shit is why I left twitter, etc.
Without a means of successfully filtering-out the onslaught, just scrolling through timelines to check out people's stuff is hellish.
It's hard to find a fresh start.
Does blocking a hashtag only work in the home timeline, or does it also apply to local and federated timelines, too?
I'm just trying not to be triggered by the deluge of US politics.
:verified: doesn't mean shit here, btw.
Let it go.

Imagine being in a new relationship and all the other person does is talk about their ex.
That's what it's like to see all these damn posts from Twitter migrants.
This isn't going to be a popular opinion, but I don't care.
No one needs a play-by-play of what's happening on Twitter. This isn't Twitter. This is something different. Let Twitter die its death and move on.
Instead, you can choose to live in the moment here, get to know other users, and stop perpetuating the spread of crazy bs.
Seriously, consider this an opportunity to start anew, to strive toward sanity, and to help build a better internet.
Where are people getting those neat Mastodon (and other) little logo dealies next to their handle?
I really like the blue one with the X.
