But they just released an annual report listing their "Total Assets" at $5.4B.

Doesn't add up, does it?

Aroostook County residents told the Maine Public Utilities Commission Wednesday they can’t afford another electric rate hike.

Aging Maine grid is putting hundreds of renewable energy projects at risk

Maine's power grid would need significant upgrades to support the full extent of the state's planned renewable energy projects and goals.

Consumer-owned electricity has a long, successful history in Maine and there are many communities right now enjoying better service and lower rates than the captive customers of CMP and Versant.

One example is the Houlton area where customers pay only 11.6¢/kWh.
