Finally, we prototyped in Gephi Lite a way to reveal the uncertainty in the Louvain community detection method 🎉
This method was designed last December with @jacomyma and developers and designers from @medialab_scpo and DensityDesign Lab, and sponsored by the #MASSHINE center.

We've released a new TypeScript package https://www.npmjs.com/package/@gephi/gephi-lite-broadcast, that allows to open a Gephi lite tab and then control it!
Once Gephi Lite is ready, it opens a communication channels which allows the web application that opened it to modify its internal state: modify graph data, change filter state, etc...
We already used that feature to add a "Clone in a new tab" button in Gephi Lite!

A browser library to control a Gephi Lite instance using the Broadcast Channel API. Latest version: 0.6.1, last published: 5 days ago. Start using @gephi/gephi-lite-broadcast in your project by running `npm i @gephi/gephi-lite-broadcast`. There are no other projects in the npm registry using @gephi/gephi-lite-broadcast.
We added some advanced appearance graphic variables:
- Nodes and edges colors can be shaded by a metric using a secondary color
- Edges now have a depth variable

Nodes now have a dynamic "degree" attribute in appearance and filters panels.
It's dynamic because it will be automatically updated when the graph topology changes.

We finally implemented topological filters!
It's now possible to filter main connected components, k-cores or ego networks.

Enfin, nous avons prototypé dans Gephi Lite une manière d'observer l'incertitude dans la méthode de détection de communautés de Louvain 🎉
Cette méthode a été imaginée en décembre avec @jacomyma et des développeurs et designers de @medialab_scpo et du DensityDesign Lab.

Nous avons créé une bibliothèque TypeScript https://www.npmjs.com/package/@gephi/gephi-lite-broadcast qui permet de communiquer avec un Gephi Lite ouvert dans un onglet du navigateur.
Cette bibliothèque permet de modifier l'état de l'application depuis l'application web ayant ouvert l'onglet Gephi Lite pour modifier les données du graphe, changer le filtrage, etc...
On en a profité pour ajouter un bouton "Dupliquer dans un nouvel onglet" depuis Gephi Lite !

Au passage, on a ajouté quelques variables graphiques, comme un second niveau pour la couleur des nœuds et des liens (appelé "Nuance" dans l'interface), ou encore la profondeur des liens.
