My bartender just asked me to write a book or story or something about "how to bar correctly". Apparently, this is an art, that somehow he believes I have mastered.

I mean, I understand that experience counts, but that'll take some thought. Even for just a blog post. 😂

@shawnhooper well, to be fair, I've used the wordcampus Wi-Fi for years now and I've never had to redo because it's always the same password every time we do the event. There is "private" and then there is "actually private".

Last time I went to the doctor's office, they had their password in a QR form taped to the front desk. I was able to connect to their Wi-Fi from across the room.

@shawnhooper If you're putting your Wi-Fi password up on a poster with a QR code, then it's probably not meant to be actually secret.

@Jeffro Have you ever spoken to those people that have had rockets rain down near them? They have a very different opinion than what you might think.

@zeldman consider to stop using Apple products. Completely. Stop using Macs. Stop using Mac OS. Stop using anything from Apple. Your life gets infinitely better that way.

You learn how things actually work, and they work intuitively. Because your intuition becomes better and closer to knowing how things actually work.

@SocketSecurity LOL. CVE's were already mostly useless before this, I'm not surprised that NIST gave up.
@Jeffro A sure sign that something is not going to be very well done is when it spends most of the announcement post poking at the competition, rather than explaining what it's done better.

Every time I tab out of a bar and do it using my phone, it always tells me "Pay for the group?", and I'm like "I was only here for 2 hours!"

UI can be judgmental AF.
