I am befuddled to realise that a community who has been oppressed for centuries, became victim of a grisly genocide is oppressing another community and committing genocide.

shirish@orwell they probably didn't even know that Ramanand Sagar who made Ramayana on TV had a Muslim screenplay writer. The establishment wanted a 'hindu' and this was in congress era. He protested and said no, the rest as they say is history. Sadly, nobody remembers or don't want to remember such stories :(

I remember we had several History Professors in DU who were fluent in Urdu. They could read, write and speak. It gave me such good feeling that such a beautiful language, so close to Muslims, is being respected and embraced by others. What happened to us after 2014?
