What a terrific avalanche of new followers! Thank you all for following! You might have been attracted by my recent barrage of UI-related observations and criticisms… And I must say, for once it feels good to rant knowing that someone is listening; while often in the past I was left with the feeling that I was talking to an empty room.

Localization of sorted lists has some common pitfalls. When writing a list to select a country for example, translate first, then sort alphabetically.
Otherwise Deutschland is next to Georgia, Österreich next to Australia, and so on.
If you want to be super user friendly, guess the most likely countries from the localization settings the browser and operating system provides, and put them at the top.
Planning to read the document in its entirety, but based on the overview, the ruling against Apple appears to be a MASSIVE victory against their anticompetitive practices and their stranglehold over apps. It is very long overdue for them to face consequences, including potential criminal contempt.
