I think it's pretty awful to mock older people for being slow at things we grew up with. For watching their friends suffer more and more as they grow older, and feeling helpless when they lose more and more of them each year. For becoming aware of their own mortality, having to process it all day by day.

That all takes its toll, friends. So be kind.
