An interesting talk at the recent State of the Map Europe 2025 #sotmeu25 was Jochen Topf's Everything Everywhere All at Once on the OSM Spyglass server. There's now an experimental OGF server running at https://spyglass.opengeofiction.net/

@pjacock they're all one of your five a day
It's all about to kick off at #sotmeu25, packed lecture theatre behind.
@jcoupey hope you have the return in the daylight, it's a great view

The Overpass query is run, parsed and transformed into a collection of JSON files by a dedicated server-side script https://github.com/opengeofiction-net/OGF-terrain-tools/blob/master/bin/overpassCacheAirports.pl which is then consumed by our custom MultiMaps fork for embedding in the MediaWiki-based wiki page
This is updated hourly, driven by custom tagging https://wiki.opengeofiction.net/index.php/Help:Tagging#Airline_routes and an Overpass query
The next phase in our focus on aviation mapping (airports, airlines, routes) is live - the airline route map #opengeofiction #imaginarymaps
