Sounds like a feature I could easily build in Noodle Gallery. Check it out and feel free to add a feature request for this in the github discussions section https://opennoodle.de

@SadLanigiro Happy that they're finally working on better sharing!

BTW switching from Noodle Gallery back to immich takes <5 mins, so you could even bridge the gap on Noodle Gallery ;)

Noodle Gallery v4.57.0 is now out! https://opennoodle.de/releases/v4-57-0/

Timeline grouping helps you zoom in and out of your timeline to find photos in a large library: https://opennoodle.de/features/timeline-grouping/

v4.57.0 Release Notes - Noodle Gallery

A release built around Timeline Grouping — now an always-visible Years / Months / All control on every timeline, working with active filters and consistent across web and mobile — plus a new People view sort, cross-scope people merge propagation, library data-export groundwork, identity birthday resolution, mobile live-search paging and sort, iOS background-backup reliability, and full Noodle branding of email and in-app store links.

@karl Nice to hear that you're moving off google photos! Check out https://opennoodle.de as an alternative to Immich.

I built quite an easy way to import your google takeouts right in the web app. Has a ton of features for families that want to share photos and allow people to contribute with role based access control.

@jj_ov_daess @ct_3003_team

Release v4.56.4 · open-noodle/gallery

Based on Immich v2.7.5 Server-only release. No mobile changes. For the Android APK, see v4.56.3. Changes fix: sort people suggestions by favorites and name (#567)

@xamp Really cool tool! I'll give it a try on my setup - I have a cluster of broken photos as well.

Also, if you’re looking for an even better Immich experience check out https://opennoodle.de :)

If you're ever keen on trying it out, it's super easy to switch over, and if you're not happy with it you can easily switch back to Immich by running one script :)
