Created in 2002 by Klaas Wierenga, eduroam started as a simple idea: make Wi-Fi secure, easy & free for students and researchers, wherever they go.
Today, eduroam connects people at almost 40,000 locations in 106 countries. In 2024 alone, it recorded over 8.4 billion authentications.

After reading a newspaper article about Grokipedia, I gave it a try out of curiosity. Only browsing through two articles suggested by the platform (the first one was about 'Timeline of United States inventions' 😉) was enough to read about the book 'Biblical Basis for Modern Science' which, Amazon dixit, ''walks the reader through history "real history" by showing the absurdity of evolution'.

L'époque étant aux prédictions concernant le futur de l'IA, j'y vais de la mienne : d'ici deux ans la vraie question qui va se poser à la communauté scientifique, particulièrement en machine learning, n'est pas de savoir si les LLM peuvent contribuer à produire des résultats scientifiques d'intérêt (situation qui restera tout à fait marginale à cette date) mais plutôt quelles mesures peuvent être mise en oeuvre pour préserver ce qui peut l'être du peer reviewing ?
