Kerala was a relief bcz of the flattening and decreasing curve - no longer. from 19th onwards, the curve is again going up. For a region that was totally in control till last few days, what could have gone wrong? Is it concentrated in specific areas/cities? This is not a good trend given the same circumstances (lockdown).

Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, etc are so heavily infected than rest of the country that a general average reading on national or even state level would not provide true picture of seriousness in hot spots. Cities above a certain level of infections on ppm could be selected for the analyses. I am for instance v interested in city wise graphs of tests done ppm in addition to the usual +ve found, recovered n deceased.

Kerala'a methodology in monitoring international travellers, or even those in quarantine, would certainly provide help to those who need it but cannot ask for political reasons. It will be good if the state aggressively publicizes it.

But Kerala coming 3rd is a surprise, considering its small population. It must be the highest in terms of ppm. Any idea why?

In a true democracy, decision making is distributed at multiple levels and power/publicity hungry ppl r effectively bulldozed at the lowest level itself. So the issue is more about distribution of authorities, and less about ppl wanting power/publicity.

So we r again back to that basic concept of checks n balances.
